Well, this commission was a complete joy. A customer who lives in New Zealand, and is a Japanese translator, wanted a pair of oven gloves for the detailed tea ceremonies she loves to indulge in. She didn’t want just any oven gloves, though. She wanted Joy Division oven gloves, named after a song by Half Man Half Biscuit. So she chose her fave fabrics – this leaf print with a hot pink plain cotton, and I got to work so she now attends tea ceremonies with ‘Joy’ on one hand and ‘Division’ on the others. How col is THAT!
NB. If you would like to commission an item please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’ll ask for your wish list and come up with a design. No request is too daft or obvious and I’ll come up with a price before you commit to anything. You can get further details about how my commissioning process works here.
